DORIS VALENCIA

Travel Consultant

Traveling is a life passion of mine; I truly enjoy exploring new destinations, immersing myself in new cultures and traditions, tasting new foods, and meeting people. As a nature lover and avid traveler I have visited deserts, lush tropical forests, oceans, mountains and other habitats in search of birds and other wildlife. I founded Habitats Peru with the sole principle of helping other travelers discover the joy in exploring new areas and cultures. I have a particular love for birding and as a bird guide I am fortunate to share this love with curious people from all over the world. I share my guiding career and travel consulting with the Pacha Conservancy Project which is been working with environmental education, research, tree planting and various other programs in the fragile cloud forest ecosystem north of Cusco.

CARLOS UNDA

Travel Specialist

I started my guiding career at age 18, as a trip leader I feel like so much more than just a "guide". I go above and beyond to make sure that our guests have the vacation of a lifetime. I was lucky to travel to many different destinations for work and fun, along the way I have learned that guiding is such a multifaceted position that includes compassion, communication, public speaking and narration skills, knowledge, problem solving, organization, good sense of humor and enthusiasm, skills that I have developed over the years. I like to relate to people – both the travelers on my trips and the locals that I encounter along the way – I add personal touches a sense of comfort, laughter and inside experiences. My goal is to provide experiences that the guest will take home and continue to reflect upon, long after the actual trip is over. I share my guiding career with mountain biking, another passion of mine and do my best to spend enough time in the mountain. I lead the Pacha Conservancy Project, we work on environmental education, tree planting as well as developing research programs on different fields of biology.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY ABOUT US

CO2 EMISSIONS GUEST COMPENSATION PROGRAM

The very act of bringing our guest to Perù produce large quantities of CO2, therefore we started this program to counterpart this serious impact and at the same time help to reforest key areas in the highly diverse Andes of Perù through tree planting and environmental education, this means that for every booking with Habitats Peru Travel you will be planting trees in Peru, making a big difference to regular travel.
